El Mundo Bordado is a small business based in Valencia, specializing in personalized embroidery on clothing, textiles, and gifts. The website was launched in 2022, built from scratch using the Mobirise website builder.
Young websites often struggle to compete in search engine rankings against older and more established companies. The client chose Mobirise as a quick and independent way to create a website without needing design or coding skills.
While we generally do not recommend using such builders for business purposes due to their technical limitations, we decided to take on the project to answer the question: Is it possible to successfully promote a website built on such a platform? The answer: Yes!
Optimization Goals
Attract organic traffic from search engines
Achieve top rankings for key search queries in Valencia
Expand regional visibility across Spain
Increase brand awareness and drive more orders through the website
Work Completed
Technical Audit and Error Fixing
At the initial stage of SEO optimization, we conducted a technical audit of the website, which revealed a number of critical issues limiting its growth and indexability. Given that the site was built using the Mobirise builder, we had to take its limitations into account and adapt our solutions accordingly.
Indexing Issues
There were problems with link structure and URL duplication. The same content was accessible via multiple addresses (e.g., with and without /index.html, with parameters, with or without trailing slashes), which led to mass duplication and confused search engine prioritization.
There were also missing or misconfigured robots.txt and sitemap.xml files. Not all pages were available for indexing — some valuable content was accidentally blocked, while other pages were indexed through duplicate URLs.
.htaccess Configuration and Duplicate Removal
A major issue was the absence of a properly configured .htaccess file, which caused:
Indexing of both www and non-www versions
Availability of both http and https versions of pages
Indexing of /index.html versions alongside canonical pages
Solution:
Implemented proper 301 redirects from all duplicate URLs to a single canonical version (HTTPS + non-www)
Added rules to block access to /index.html versions
Set up correct <canonical> tags on all pages
Introduced logic to automatically handle new pages without creating duplicates
Spanish Keyword Research and Demand Analysis
We conducted a detailed collection of Spanish-language keywords related to embroidery, personalized gifts, branded textiles, corporate orders, and school uniforms. The analysis covered both commercial and informational queries.
Semantic cores were developed for various levels of search demand:
Local queries (e.g., “bordado personalizado Valencia”, “regalos bordados en Valencia”)
Regional queries (e.g., “bordados Comunidad Valenciana”)
Nationwide queries (e.g., “regalos personalizados bordados”, “bordado para empresas en España”)
This allowed us to create pages tailored to specific user intents, ensuring stable visibility in search results across different geographic levels.
Creating Demand-Based Landing Pages
As part of the strategy to capture relevant search demand, we developed targeted landing pages for key services and order types. These included:
Bordado personalizado para empresas — logo embroidery and corporate merchandise
Regalos personalizados bordados — personalized embroidered gifts for various occasions
Bordados para colegios — custom-embroidered school uniforms and accessories
And other specialized categories
Each page was designed based on keyword research and user search intent. We created unique content, set individual meta tags (title, description, H1), and structured the pages with clear logic and engaging visuals. This not only attracted qualified traffic but also improved user behavior metrics such as page depth and conversions.
Compliance with EEAT Standards
To build trust with both users and search engines, we implemented a strategy aligned with EEAT principles (Expertise, Experience, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness):
Created dedicated pages detailing the company’s background, history, team, and professional experience
Added examples of completed projects, case studies, and real photos of the work
Clearly displayed contact details, business address, a feedback form, and links to social media profiles
This approach strengthened the site’s perceived expertise and authority, positively impacting indexing, search rankings, and conversion rates.
